    Negative Outlook

I worked at Web International English full-time

    Pros

Had great colleagues and low level management

    Cons

The company was going bankrupt at the HQ level. The upper management took out massive loans and funneled the money into their personal accounts in mid 2019. Both the Chinese and foreign staff was unpaid for months. Some of the owners were arrested in the Beijing region. The Shanghai region's leaders must of paid off the right officials because they got away scot-free. In any other country, they would have all been jailed and forced to recompense employees, both domestic and foreign. Some of the language center branches and franchises re-branded under dozens of different names and continued operation locally. Some were even doing well enough to shelter their teachers from the fallout, but sadly, most were not.

    Pros

The local HR and staff persons were always helpful and easy to work along with.

    Cons

The school, along with 59 other locations were forced to go broke due to owners decisions late last year (2019) that overwhelmed most of their locations. In Zhenjiang, the school was purchased by a local group, but, then the quarantine began...sigh
