    Advice to Management

I would suggest management starts to care about their people. The extremely high turnover should be a concern and not overlooked

I worked at Wayfair for less than a year

    Pros

Culture is great, the people are friendly, my manager personally was an amazing guy, learned a lot on the job

    Cons

I have heard from some full time friends that your role can get really stagnant and not much upwards movement

I have been working at Wayfair full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    I can’t think of a single thing

    Cons

This place is horrible. Currently trying to escape, but when I interviewed at a different tech company I was told they had over 5 applications from wayfair alone! I would advise to stay away. Wayfair has an internal recruiting agency that games the Glassdoor reviews. Believe me. Most people in marketing want to leave. The pay is significantly lower than what it should be,and the raises are 2-3% per year. Most...

I worked at Wayfair for less than a year

    Pros

    - Interesting, data-driven work - Respectful managers and coworkers - Super fun and young culture; it's like being in college - Great learning opportunity for both hard and soft skills - Excellent choice of snacks - Fantastic office location near many restaurants and coffee shops (this one goes unmentioned sometimes but I cannot overstate its value) - Work life balance - Rotating beers on tap! And neat game room...

    Cons

    - Comp could be higher, especially since management is trying to poach talent from SF tech, consulting, and finance industries - Company is very frugal. Don't expect a ton of swag, free meals, Facebook/Google-style perks, etc. - Not the most diverse workplace, but then again this is Boston

    Advice to Management

HR efforts should be made to get the Wayfair brand recognized on campuses as a top employer-- the internship program is unparalleled and should be viewed as such!

I have been working at Wayfair full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great atmosphere, learn tons, quickly given responsibility and ownership, dynamic, smart and fun people

    Cons

Low pay/compensation, very bureaucratic review process with limited promotion cycles, high turnover rate (~1-2 years average)

    Advice to Management

I worked at Wayfair full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Wayfair is teeming with smart and enthusiastic people who really want the company to succeed. There is a lot of opportunity to learn, grow, switch teams, try new things etc. It isn't perfect, but if you land a job at Wayfair, take it! It was an amazing place for me to start my career in marketing.

    Cons

The culture is fun but also becoming a little too cut throat. You are essentially pitted against your coworkers during reviews, which can create a stressful and unpleasant work environment. There is also a lot of pressure to work long hours. The people (and the beer taps and snacks) made the hours bearable (most of the time) but be ready to work your butt off if you get a job here.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with employees and be careful with the competitive environment you are creating. A little competition is great - but too much can make for very unhappy and unmotivated employees.

I have been working at Wayfair full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - Company does a really good job of getting entry level employees (like me) invested in the business' health and profitability. Data about daily/hourly/etc revenue is available to nearly everyone so you can see how the business is doing on a day-to-day basis. This helps put more meaning into your work and feel more invested in it - Office is great (good location near lots of food, snack walls everywhere around the...

    Cons

    - The onboarding process for people in BI can take a long time and be a bit unstructured. They make you take 6 weeks worth of "courses", a handful of which are incredibly helpful, but the majority of which are either a waste of time (going over very basic SQL when I'm almost sure everyone who gets hired into BI must know at least some SQL already) or poorly done. These also get spaced out over 6 weeks so you have to be...

    Advice to Management

    - Keep finding ways get people at all levels of the business invested in the success of the business - Be more transparent about how Wayfair is working to ensure as much job security as possible in the event of a market downturn. The answer I've heard so far is "we're keeping an eye on the macroeconomy", which doesn't instill much confidence. Give us a concrete answer please.
