I am so happy to be an employee at Wagepoint!! They truly care about the people - the employees and their customers. They believe in being empathetic and kind and having fun. Compensation and working from home are a bonus.
Cons
We can't meet our co-workers as we all work remotely.

This company is amazing!!! I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be!
Dec. 31, 2020 - Payroll Specialist in St. Catharines, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
First of all, the people are amazing! Everyone here is just amazing! I found my second family! I wake up smiling because I get to go to work! Now for the other great stuff: Thorough, well planned and orchestrated training. Intuitive work platforms that just make sense (and keep improving). Tremendous growth opportunity. 100% remote (work from home - not just for the pandemic). Excellent work/life balance. Friendly coworkers that literally feel like family. Fun team building activities that the entire company participates in, which really brings us all together. Paid overtime. Generous paid time off. Excellent benefits. Paid one hour lunch. Consistent encouragement and recognition. This is a company created by people who love what they do, and love to live their life, for people who love what they do and love to live their lives. Working here has given me the balance needed to enjoy it all.
Cons
I can't think of a single thing.

Grateful to have so much support from my peers, it's not easy working from home but they definitely made it easier for me. Everyone is so supportive, best CEO I have dealt with, he reaches out and to make sure we are good. Best decision I've made for sure!
Cons
No Cons at all for me! I love everything about this company!

Got the job I wanted at Wagepoint!
Mar. 21, 2019 - Payroll Specialist in Halifax, NSRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
From the moment I spoke with our CEO I knew it was going to be a great place to work. Everyone is very welcoming and eager to show you the ropes. You work from home so there is no worrying about traffic jams and being late for work. The Salary is fair, benefits after 3 months probation, reasonable vacation time and sick time. Really, who wouldn't want to work here! We work as a team at Wagepoint and everyone counts. You're not just a number, you are family! I love it! I found my dream job.
Cons
Honestly.. I don't have any cons to report. I love my job!

Kind, considerate, remote culture—if you’re capable.
Jan. 2, 2020 - Marketing in Vancouver, BCRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Ability to move quickly. Whether you’re in an established team or growing a team, there are fewer obstacles to accomplish your goals. A smaller company means fewer hoops to jump through. To be successful, you need to quickly read the room and make things happen. Not a place to be spoon-fed work. - Kindness. The culture is very empathetic and there are genuinely good people who work here. In the absence of a physical space, management has done a good job of hiring considerate and communicative people to bridge the gap. No one takes themselves too seriously. While people aren’t always PC and things can get silly, people are very respectful of each other. - While it’s not scalable, the number of people who were hired by the CEO is very surprising. Again, a testament to ensuring the right people get on the bus. - Remote work has all the benefits you hope for. With 100% of the company working from home—any remote pain you feel is also felt by management and addressed. - Generally a flat organizational structure. Makes it easy to reach out to anyone in the company. Everyone has been very receptive anytime I’ve reached out. - No tech hubris. Management is careful with how money is spent. At the expense of beer taps, ping pong tables, annual retreats and 3 monitors for every employee—you get the sense that there are responsible people running the company. That said there are good benefits (RRSP matching, medical, dental, health, life) provided. - I feel confident that this company will continue to find success.
Cons
- Remote work isn’t for everyone. It’s a bit more difficult to bond with colleagues without a physical space. - Onboarding, training, internal communication, and other HR processes can feel clumsy. An HR consultancy has just been hired to address.

A company unlike any other - amazing people!
Jun. 17, 2020 - Payroll Specialist in Halifax, NSRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
A kind, fun, hard working family type based atmosphere! The work from home aspect is great for family's with children.
Cons
Remote working can be harder for some, not getting to see colleagues in person.

Pros
- Remote Work: you work from home all the time and it really is a blessing. You get to focus 100% on your work without any outside distractions and your productivity is boosted so much - Constant Communication: Always in contact with colleagues regardless of the remote work and you still have that rapport established. I work with awesome people! - Environment: The people I work with are mature, reliable, and so much fun. There's such a great balance because these people care about their work and the clients they assist and also make working for this company just awesome. - Boss: My boss is phenomenal. He's trusting, doesn't micro-manage, supports your decision and allows you room to grow and learn. Same can be said about the CEO!!
Cons
- This isn't really a con since it can be turned into a pro: when you feel lonely or overwhelmed, especially since you are a remote worker, you have a great set of co-workers there to help you and be your support, regardless of the distance between you and them! - As a smaller company, your days may sometimes be chaotic and crazy. You need to make sure you are able to handle multiple tasks at once while still going about your daily activities. I don't find this as a con, to be honest, because to me, it's challenging on a day to day basis, and I love that!

TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!
Mar. 7, 2018 - Customer Success Manager in Atlanta, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Best group of colleagues you could ever hope to work with. Everyone has each other's back & no one bats an eye at stepping outside of their comfort zone to help. -The management team is amazing & more supportive than anyone else I have ever worked for/with. -There is never a dull moment! You don't get stuck doing routine tasks and every day is different. It's challenging but in a very rewarding way! -Working from home. I am finally able to be here for my family while still having a fulfilling career. I feel like I have been given my life back!
Cons
Nothing! This is really the best company in the entire world to work for.
