I worked at WDS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    - the job is fairly straightforward if you have an understanding of google and posses people skills - plenty of opportunity to develop skills in calming down irate customers, which is a very useful transferable skill

    Cons

    - pay is really meagre, and management (at the time) can be quite condescending

I worked at WDS full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Easy to get a job, onsite parking after 3 months

    Cons

Management and team leaders don't care about you, you have to be a robot speaking to abusers or stupid customer and has to be polite all the time.

I worked at WDS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked at WDS for just over a year, I started Part Time and then moved Full Time. I think anybody who worked here would agree the best aspect of the job is definitely the people you work with. I was made to feel welcome from my first day. There are lots of social activities; fun days/ team nights out/ dressing up/ team goals - prizes to be won, again it is the people who make the job tolerable and worth while.

    Cons

Cons are the job itself can be tough with people getting angry etc at you on the telephone all day but that is the job!

I have been working at WDS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The people you work with are great!! But the management team need serious help!! It's a joke how bad the place is

    Cons

The people you work for are a joke!!!!the management is terrible. Goal posts constantly moving. They'll string you along until your contract ends and then just drop you off and not renew it. They'll make promises and they'll be nice at the beginning but the team leaders don't know what they're doing. The deputy ops manager should be running the place because the boss is terrible. The place has two many managers and you can be told to do something by one manager and then be told off by another manager. It's ridiculous

    I worked at WDS

    Pros

The people you work with are the best, but the people you work for are not. The call centres have a great atmosphere in a very much 'we are all in it together' mood. If you like phones, troubleshooting issues and customer service then the work can be fun.

    Cons

The pay in the UK is only just above minimum wage but the workload, the knowledge needed to do the job right and often the customers you have to speak too makes it hardly worth it. The company was for a long time privately owned and has now been taken over by Xerox who has split the UK division in two, leaving the future uncertain

I worked at WDS for less than a year

    Pros

Overtime, training, good salary, nice teams, excellent option as a temporary work, valuable experience, nice work environment and facilities, canteen, showers, KPI bonuses

    Cons

Poor management, not many opportunities for development and career, can't consider it as a long term career unfortunately. People come and leave quickly.

I have been working at WDS full-time

    Pros

The people that you work with are from all over Europe, making the work place very cosmopolitan and allows to learn from many different aspect of working style and backgrounds.

    Cons

Operational management is totally useless, complete lack of organization and structure makes what it could be a nice job, more of a nightmare. Unequal pay and undicent pays reviews.

I have been working at WDS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A payment that works for those coming from abroad as they are given the chance to work legally in the UK as a rate of 8.29 the hour.

    Cons

    - Nepotism Tier 2 positions, QA, etc, are given to friends of the friends, or close friends of the friends. Agents with more experience are looked as a threat to the company and to the managers, due to the level of knowledge A rota that changes constantly for Hardware and Apps verticals. One day you could do from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and next day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30. There are verticals that have Team Leader that request you to do 40 cases a day, where there are others where agents do not reach even 5 cases per day. This unbalance is created do to the poor internal politics. When the contractor (Google) comes around, TL and Management, keep asking people just to bring positive comments to these interviews. - General Ignorance TL and Manager lack of knowledge of the product. In the time being with the company, they have done like 4-5 promotions, whilst they have brought TL's and Managers from outside to occupy these position, so there is not promotion and not opportunity to grow inside. - When TL's get asked about something, they ask that the question is done to the people with more time on the team, those who have already spent 1 year, 2 or more time, because they don't know the answers to these questions, they just provide numbers about the Satisfaction of CM, number of calls, emails done, etc to the management.

I have been working at WDS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Positive team atmosphere, clear job instructions.

    Cons

Career development opportunities happen to appear once or twice every quarter. But there are too many candidates for each opportunity, and the priority is given based on personal friendship first of all, and only then based on employees performance.
