I have been working at W Hotels full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Bigger opportunities, being appreciated by managers,

    Cons

Not very known by local guests or not used to its style as so not having an excellent service charge, small spaces for the great room or restaurants which is affecting the capacity of guests numbers

I worked at W Hotels full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Seriously don't know, my direct manager is cool but that's about it.

    Cons

    - Fake positivity preached but never practiced - Almost all of management are two-faced snakes, acting like a friend to your face but then turning around to rat you out. -Favoritism of the highest order -Claims to pay above market pay rates but is actually one of the lowest paying hotels in the DFW area -Incompetent management -Mangament makes it blatantly clear that you're simply a resource and are easily replaceable. -Insanely high turn over rate, the front desk team would never be the same month to month. -If you want to get holiday pay it must be requested and taken out of your Vacation PTO balance. -If you're an entry level employee you will get blamed for everything and anything while management can get away with anything and everything. -They will hire outside people instead of promoting from within

    Advice to Management

Maybe actually start caring about your employees and you won't have such a ridiculous turn over rate.

  4. "Even worse there since Marriott took over"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Current Employee - Front Desk Agent

I have been working at W Hotels full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

It was not bad until Marriott took over

    Cons

Marriott took away so many benefits like: No more earning points for enrolling guests. Marriott took away all the fun from working at a W Hotel.

    Advice to Management

Talent who got promoted to jobs they weren't qualified for. Absolutely there were favorites.

I have been working at W Hotels full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great brand, made new friends within department who actually resigned already. Hotel has a nice concept.

    Cons

They dont value the people who care. Kill your motivation. Pay very low salaries. Think they can replace you easily. I saw people crying, having emotional breakdowns, people buying a ticket home and leaving without a notice. Its just glittery outside and rotten inside.
