    Pros

Meeting great friends and selling beautiful products, the discount was awesome aswell.

    Cons

Work / life balance was difficult because most shifts could not allow you. I worked shipment shifts which meant I had a 6am start.

I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Amazing discount, some nice coworkers that will help you navigate the complexity of the store, pretty items that if you were a huge fan of the company like I was seems like a dream come true

    Cons

MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. Employees are all competing and try to tear each other down and cause high school dramas A customer came in to explain they they got over charged for something (which was clearly written on their receipt) and the cashier just said “no I gave it to you” which wasn’t even the problem, did not want to help and when the manager came she said the same thing, head office was then called for the attitude and making the customer cry with their rude remarks and they did nothing. Managers are confused and continuously contradicting themselves: one will tell you to complete a task and then give you another task and then will call you in for not finishing the first task. Always cutting down hours because they don’t have the “payroll” and will randomly tell you, you can leave at a certain time but then another manager will come and say “no you have to leave later” and they both make it seem like you are trying to purposely do something wrong to anger them on purpose. Don’t have any working walkie talkies and yet get mad when anyone has their phone on them to check the time and yet do not get mad at the girls texting all their apple watches. One manager will get upset if you are staying in your section cleaning too much instead of moving around and helping and another will get mad at you for moving around and not cleaning your section. And if you try to do both there are employees all over the place moving around (even from the front of the store which is a big no no) and need you to cover the front. Managers have people they like to pick on and one manager who all the employees hated: scheduled people as off and then called them to say they had a shift to which people scrambled to get there and at the time they say they understand the website “messed up” but then they continue to bring up your “tardiness.” Managers are extremely rude and not helpful to employees and customers. Employees talk behind customers and employees backs. No work life balance. Especially holidays. As soon as you step foot, know that the employees and managers are out to get you and see you fail, threatened. Plus the constant “the business is failing” mentality among workers and customers. Now I see why majority of people don’t like Victoria’s Secret (prices included) and prefer La Senza

I worked at Victoria's Secret full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Excellent compensation for all members of the team - Great discount/ gratis/ incentives for ALMOST all levels of staff - Some great managers who value your work life balance

    Cons

    - Very little support for physical violence/ aggressive organized retail crime provided to management or staff. Still held accountable to shrink results, can lead to termination if not brought under control, but brand refuses to employ security guards or floorwalkers to enable staff to focus on their actual jobs - Incentives not well thought out for all members of the team, certain members get no additional incentive or training whatsoever, even when they expressly ask for it.

I worked at Victoria's Secret part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Worked with great people Great attitudes Product giveaway perks to get familiarized with products and pass on more informed details to customers

    Cons

The commission-based framework of the sales associates meant that customers largely felt pestered by associates, and associates but higher priority on making sure customers learned their names than got the help they needed. I was hired as part-time and received only 1 hour less than full-time work most of the time, however, without the benefits afforded by a full-time position, it is necessary to work at least 2 jobs, therefor making for a terrible work life balance.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Discounts, gratis, the girls (SA's) are fun. More mature conversation than some other retailers. Decent salary.

    Cons

No work/life balance. Expectations are unrealistic. Was told one thing when I got hired, turned around and did another. Manipulative management. Favoritism. Promote the wrong values. Lack of training. Definite HR issues. You need to be a bull to succeed in this company.
