It's been a great experience in VCH hiring transitions as the recruitment personnel had been so welcoming and accommodating with my queries as well. I am truly eager to start my new job in Medicine Unit.

      Cons

      Pros

Exactly what you think working in acute care is like, overworked and long days, pay is union based wage scale, benefits is group and not bad.

      Cons

Told that as a nurse you need to sacrifice your own well being and health ensue others, patients a mixed bag but no one wants to be there. There’s a reason public health is short staffed, they’re burning through all the nurses and refusing to look at why the system is at fault.
