I have been working at University of Missouri part-time

    Pros

You learn a lot and great for networking if you do well.

    Cons

It may take a while for your PI to trust you enough to let you research your own project. If you deem yourself to be trustworthy enough, you may start your own project earlier potentially.

I worked at University of Missouri part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Wide variety of work experience. If you work at the student center you can choose to work at any of the five different restaurants and get to know the process for preparing different kinds of food. Not bad for a first job as a student honestly, if you're looking for experience in the food industry.

    Cons

They were a little light on the training. Took me a few days to really figure out the workflow for each restaurant. Also, as a food service worker, the pay isn't exactly competitive compared to other student jobs.

    Pros

Most of the work is pretty easy. My co-workers were all nice.

    Cons

Working grill was terrible. They would always run out of hot pads but you still had to pull food out of the heaters. This led to many burns.
