    Pros

    Flexible, work with great people, free travel on standby and cheap international travel.

    Cons

    Not so flexible when your new, gets better after 6 months. Management makes weird decisions.

    Pros

    Flying benefits Great working environment Steady growth, as much as you want Hours are extremely flexible (almost 24hr shifts) Lower level management are usually promoted within which makes for a better, more welcoming environment (Almost) Unlimited over time

    Cons

    10 years until max pay Physically demanding job (even with new technologies and techniques it still takes a toll on your body) Decent work/life balance (but you will have to pick up OT if you want to have bills paid which can bite into hours you’d spend with the family Minor inconvenience - your clothes will smell of jet fuel 24/7 (clothes are provided by them)

    Pros

    Same benefits as full time including flight benefits Working around such nice, big planes Contractual raises (2 a year) OT even for part time Make your own hours basically by having trade buddies Lots of downtime during non busy days (non hub)

    Cons

    Shift bids Seniority based Grunt work Hot afternoons People senior to you pulling the seniority card for certain tasks and what not

    The benefits are great and you have the opportunity to make your own schedule and work as much as you would like.

    it is an extremely physically demanding job where working in extreme weather is a regular occurrence
