I have been working at UPS full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    They have good benefits

    Cons

Not enough hours and would rather quantity over quality. They over work you.

I worked at UPS part-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good exercise and fast paced environment that had good benefits and was unionized. A free crayon when you start. Great job if you can handle it and you can meet a lot of people who also get hired.

    Cons

If you get stuck at the south building. Management cared more about money than workers. They say they care about mental health, but when a concern is brought up nothing is done. Nothing was ever their fault, always the employees. Never saw higher management in the building, yet they made the shot calls that made no sense. Winters are unique cause you might be stuck in the building with about 60+ running propane vehicles. Summers get hot and all they had when I quit was a few large fans moving air, but when you were hot enough that you almost passed out, that's on you. If you move slowly at any point, you'll fall behind and then receive no support because it was your fault. Stressful work environment that can force people to quit.

    I worked at UPS part-time

    Pros

-good benefits -job is like a workout - tuition reimbursement - opportunities for promotions (must work hard and you have to ask supervisors if a higher position is available) **FEMALES** If you are young and ‘pretty’ you will most likely experience favouritism, prepare to be put in awkward situations with male supervisors and co workers

    Cons

    - extremely physical work load -it is a lot harder than you think - managers/supervisors tend to yell to get people to work faster -Ups training stresses the importance of safety but when you are actually working it’s hard to apply all the safety measures since it slows you down - you will most likely come home with bruises -if you don’t workout your muscles will be on fire - if you are young most people probably won’t take you seriously (prove yourself by working hard, but don’t overwork yourself) - you will be extremely exhausted 24/7 - your body will be in a lot of pain ** FEMALES** - you will most likely experience cat calling -harassment -men who think they can do your job better than you -stalkers

I worked at UPS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Keeps you active and fit! Provides a good challenge mentally and otherwise. Good benefits! if you thrive in high pressure environments this job is for you!Pay rate is decent after 3 years.

    Cons

Sooo many!! Like alot of large corporate companies, there's alot of pressure to work harder, faster. Communication between supervisors and employees is very poor. Long hours. Physically demanding. Poor company culture. Training is short, and there is no real job support. Do or die, sink or swim. Work/life balance is UPS for life!

I have been working at UPS part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

If you have been an employee for at least 10 or more years , the benefits are good the pension is good and the accumulation of holidays is good.

    Cons

The turnaround in staff is out of control and it seems as though nobody knows what they are doing. Those who do know what is going on are expected to do more than they can handle . The non union employees are underpaid for the work they are expected to do.
