Its just a job and not a career!

      Pros

Friendly coworkers which is all I can say about this company! Team leaders understand the problem but have their hands tied because management don't care! This is why we have a good relationship with only the few people in our department only and not with the company!

      Cons

Too many red tapes preventing anyone from exceeding or even meeting their development goals! When the goals are meet their either eliminate the salary increase or put the bar even higher so that it would be unreachable! The company does not care about its employees or their customers! All the upper management sees are numbers and $$$ from shareholders!

      Pros

The Employees/Co-Workers are some of the best I have worked with. Good work life balance.

      Cons

Very poor management skills for upper management and senior leadership team. Employees are not recognize or appreciated for there hard work. No Bonuses and raises on top of cost of living are rare. Salary is about 25-35% less than other companies.

      Terrible Company

      Pros

They pay you money to be here. That's the only pro and even then, if they could find a way not to pay you, they wouldn't.

      Cons

Lowest factory pay in the area. Terrible employee benefits. Near constant overtime, can't have a life outside of JCI. Takes responsibility of upper management and dumps it on their shop floor employees. Refuses to shut down production during a pandemic, still posts mandatory over time, tells parents they have to use all their vacation and sick time before they can have unpaid time off to care for children during a health crisis. Takes chairs out of the lunch room to practice social distancing, while insisting they keep operations going. Allows abusive, toxic supervisors to terrorize employees. Places importance on production and profits over employee's own well being.

      Pros

Plenty of opportunity to learn about products with help from senior staff. Was given the to put estimate together on time.

      Cons

Upper management constantly under pressure and disconnected with local sites. Unavailability to hear and consider newer concepts and platforms for sales team.

Very Rigid and Corporate to a Fault

      Pros

Compared to other entry-level positions with minimal qualifications, the starting pay is reasonably high with average benefits. The food at the cafeteria is great, though it closes fairly early (1:30PM). If you enjoy working extra hours you can expect to make a good deal more money as there is nearly always overtime.

      Cons

There is nearly always overtime, to a ridiculous degree. At the end of each month there is a crunch with extra hours piled on as the sales team pushes through all the orders they were lazing about with earlier in the month. The exact last day of the month you'll work all day to 9-10 PM. It is not rare to work 6-day weeks, and to work multiple double-shifts each week. The work/life balance is simply atrocious. There is rarely any room to move up past lower management. Lateral moves can be made aplenty but you must retain your position for a full year first. Middle management have their hands completely tied to policy that extremely favors the company over its workers. Upper management treats the front-line employees like work-horses and don't care about you being over-worked. Management is slow to respond to problems; the departments are only just now expanding their numbers to keep up with the work after a year of being understaffed.

      Pros

Managers are some what flexible with your schedule. There was a good work ethic and most other employees were very nice people.

      Cons

I have really nothing bad to highlight, my experience at Simplex Grinnell was great where I made good friends. The only strange thing I noticed was that upper management had an impressive turn over.
