I have been working at Tipico full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company offers a wide area of technology fields to work on. Also there are plenty of offerings from the HR and office management team to its employees and extra benefits. Flat hierarchies, self-managed team ability and close collaboration makes a difference.

    Cons

Responsibilities are sometimes not clear and need to clarified then. But this is also a chance to improve when addressing this.

    Pros

Booxware has, especially in the Munich office, a nice collaborative work environment, that is fun to work in. New products are microservices-based and thus provide a (partially) green field for good implementations. You also have the chance to work with newer technologies, i.e. Kafka or Elasticsearch.

    Cons

Booxware - as a subsidy of Tipico - is also given the task of running their old monolith, which is little fun to work with and can cause some serious development pain. Since the sw has been inhoused one would often wish for better knowledgebase around the sw.

    Advice to Management

please improve career/personal development, a training budget is not enough (and might be not enough to visit certain trainings or conferences).

Company really cares about their employees and care for each individuals ideas and efforts in every area. A family like environment with lots of great professionals and experts always willing to share their knowledge with others.
A very international environment with lots of events and perfect balance of keeping everyone happy.
Lot of smiling faces with great minds and skills, always welcoming environment for every one.

    Cons

Management strategies are sometimes inequitable and drive you nuts.
Planning and company structure is still en-route to shaping into it's final form while company keeps growing and evolving in a fast manner.

    Advice to Management

A solid and determined company strategy and project planning would be really helpful
