I worked at Time Warner Cable part-time

    Pros

The pay was good for what you sold and I liked that they had random incentives where you could make extra money. I only worked 4 hours a day and made decent pay.

    Cons

Management did not really know how to manage people. There were favorites and people were treated differently.

    Advice to Management

Please have management either go through a management training, or hire people that have an actual degree or background in this field.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The environment is great and full of people who enjoy what they are doing. It's a great place if you're eager to learn and want to continue growing in your career.

    Cons

I wish the work from home policy would be more lenient for those who prove themselves and work further away from the office. It could provide greater results for productivity.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time

    Pros

Team members were knowledgeable, hard working, friendly. Benefits were great - good medical plan, 401 K matching, pension. Management were approachable, knowledgeable, and ready to assist.

    Cons

Travel to office was long/terrible. Not able to work from home after Charter took over the company. Lost some benefits when Charter took over - no work from home, no dress down days, no early dismissal on holidays. Overall demeanor changed after take over.

    Pros

Free internet and cable, good benefits.

    Cons

Schedule constantly changes, management would wait until the last minute to tell you new schedule. No work life balance.
Not allowed to check your cell phone even In extreme circumstances. 10 minutes a day to use the restroom.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Decent Healthcare
    Free Internet, TV, House Phone
    Low skill level high pay

    Cons

    High Volume Calls
    Pass The Buck Mentality
    Blame Games
    Management Misinformation
    Toxic Workplace
No career progression if you are not at a senior employee branch
Every single thing you do is monitored (Audio, Video, Metrics)
    Bathroom breaks are timed

Actual event: Field tech did not submit a Special Request Order for customer. The customer calls in heated. The only way to submit these is to send tech back out. The customer is mad and can review you on the after call review. Customer leaves bad review of answer provided, but not the way representative treated the customer. It still brought down the representative's metrics. Management informed me to continue making calls, "The number will even out." This is a repeated occurrence. These type of calls are not rare enough to "even out." They will create an excuse for their toxic workplace policies for every single issue. I must emphasize this, its everything they practice.

    Advice to Management

With the latest merger into Spectrum, it brought change to a lot of policies. Even with this change, this negatives has seen no improvement. The metric system needs a serious investigation. Bottom of the ladder employees take the heat for everything, including the faults of other employees and the company itself. Creating this type of environment does not lead to successful people wanting to stay and improve the company.

I worked at Time Warner Cable full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people, near free full triple play (fastest internet, almost every channel, all prem channels, full hddvr boxes... for about $10/mo), lunch provided at times, sometimes vendors come with goodies to include celebrities. Immediate mgmt wants you to succeed.

    Cons

Only thing I did not like was the shift bid process. If you are on a shift that does not work with you, it can take some time to be able to change schedules. Sales comes with stress to make monthly metrics and some co workers stress about it endlessly.
