I have been working at Think Shift full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Flexible schedule, experienced managers, smart coworkers. Free gym access. Think Shift means it when they say “family first”. If you need to leave the office for any family or personal matter - it’s never an issue. They pay for each employees CALM subscription and there’s a mental health committee. Also, through the Covid-19 pandemic, management has made it a TOP priority to keep employees working. Further; weeks before the province ordered it, the office was promptly shut down and everyone was encouraged to stay home/work from home. Every employee has the option to work from when they need to, so when this outbreak became serious - it was easy to adjust.

    Cons

Agency life is faced paced, which can make finding the right people challenging. This can be hard on the stronger employees, as they can be left carrying a bigger portion of the work load.

I have been working at Think Shift full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Working with new tech, overall met some good people.

    Cons

Mental health destroyer, fake transparency environment. They don't practice what they preach. Everything inside the company is a mechanism for surveillance . 1 on 1's town halls, surveys. If you go against the grain just a bit they will get rid of you. High turn over at least one person 'let-go' a month. If you are not one of the core people you are nothing here. But put on that fake smile everything is rainbows and sunshine!

I worked at Think Shift full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Lots of opportunity to learn and grow within your role. Employees and team members are ambitious and work hard.

    Cons

Executive is disconnected from the staff and has too much involvement. They say that the organization is people focused, but it is clear that they are revenue focused. Poor salary and terrible raise policy. Their goals and objectives around hiring and staff do not align with the policies they have in place. Work is repetitive with a strong focus on one industry.

I have been working at Think Shift full-time

    Pros

Transparency and accountable culture, attractive clients and opportunities, knowledgeable colleagues with great attitude. Very well decorated and spacious open working place. Ambitious executive boarder members.

    Cons

Said to have one of the heaviest workload in Winnipeg advertising/marketing industry (Not really). Very tight on head counts (may be one reason of the workload thing but again, it's not that heavy).

I have been working at Think Shift full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Of all the places I've worked in my career, this is my first job where I felt I belonged. I believe everyone here truly wants to do great things and I'm not fighting culture or politics to get things done.

    Cons

Although a lot of heroic efforts to get things done, I think we need to do better at being a team to share the workload rather than trying to divide it up.
