I worked at The University of Kansas full-time

    Pros

KU is chock-full of passionate, brilliant, and hardworking people. Benefits are excellent across the board. People in high-level positions are generally well protected during administrative realignments.

    Cons

Relatively constant change due to shifting administrations and government priorities. Funding never feels particularly stable. Limited opportunities for growth, but openness among leaders to welcome ambitious employees into "the ranks."
