    Neutral Outlook

I worked at The Siegfried Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Pay is good although very bonus driven and they take a while to pay out so you always feel stuck in the company while waiting for your next bonus -Not bad for new CPAs wanting out of Audit but not sure where to go next. Can go to TSG to get a taste of different industry roles. At the very least you'll find out what you DON'T want to do next

    Cons

-As you are essentially a temp worker for clients, they do not invest in your learning/growth and neither does TSG -TSG does not care what types of roles you would like to be contracted for and the experience you are looking to gain. They just want you out at the first client available, no matter whether you've already spent time in a similar role and want to broaden experience. -You are always at the mercy of the client and TSG does not have your back. Many of my colleagues were borderline abused by clients but TSG will not stand up for you at all as long as the client is paying your fees. -Generally, client culture is very negative towards temp workers from TSG and will treat you poorly -The company is run like a cult. You need to drink the kool-aid to get promoted, etc.

    No Opinion of CEO

I worked at The Siegfried Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I worked with a lot of good colleagues who were skilled

    Cons

The people who send us out to work at clients are a bunch of buffoons! Some are not even accountants and you will receive arbitrary ratings based solely on someone at the company. A vast majority of the people I worked with at Siegfried think that the local leadership, such as Directors and Regional Directors are total scumbags that you should not put any faith in. The work may be good but the "leadership" who oversee the Professional Resources cannot be trusted and will lie to your face. Its a sad fact about The Siegfried Group, most resources will take their high payouts and jump ship, rather than stay in the cesspool that the organization is in.

I have been working at The Siegfried Group

    Pros

You get to meet accounting professionals around the same age group. Pay is good if your willing to sacrifice your career development.

    Cons

You will get forced on projects that will not build your professional skill-set. The leadership group is the most unprofessional group of people I have met in my career. Leadership is extremely incompetent where director roles are given to individuals who are incredibly under-qualified

I worked at The Siegfried Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Competitive pay, great events, plenty of opportunity for personal and professional development, total comp is decent, benefits are fair

    Cons

This is the type of company that looks great on paper but is disorganized and uncomfortable in practice. The culture is different based on where you work and who you work with. It feels similar to high school in that you feel the need to brown nose to stay in the firm. Not all managers are on the same page.

I worked at The Siegfried Group full-time

    Pros

Compensation - paid well for an entry level job, no scalability however

    Cons

Client quality - working for incapable clients on a consulting model means you can not provide any quality advice. Perpetuated by middle management
