I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time

    Pros

    Decent people
If you like in Suffolk county it's good commute
    Decent casual environment
Some VPs are very nice especially the new one

    Cons

Bad leadership, especially the president of puritans. The team hates him but everyone is hanging by the thread. Bad culture, no morale. Business hasn't grown in years because they don't invest and expect different results by doing the same thing. Very lean teams and dated technology

    Advice to Management

Build a culture, improve morale. Invest in people and brands

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, professional atmosphere, good chances for advancement.

    Cons

Things were fine until the Carlyle group got involved.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your people, in your equipment, and in your facilities. In the long run you will reap the benefits of doing so. The money and time that it takes will come back to you in the long run. Bring the company back to how it was before the Corporation was taken over.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the benefits were good.

    Cons

The place has gone down hill and most of IT has been outsourced.
Before they outsourced most of the IT department, it was a chaotic mess and it's only gotten worse. Morale is at an all time low and it will be even lower January 31st when most of the IT department is gone.

    Advice to Management

Nothing to tell them, it's to late, they already destroyed the place and they never listened to their employees anyway.

I have been working at The Nature's Bounty Co. full-time

    Pros

Long Island Based. Some good products.

    Cons

CIO is more concerned with expanding his empire than managing what he owns. It shows in the good people he has lost. He displays a lot of favoritism, and promotes or expands the roles of people who fall in this category, even if they don't have the background or skill-set. After years of this, he has lost the respect of his department. He cares only how he advances himself and looks to other execs. He sets unreasonable expectations on the backs of overworked associates and an understaffed department.

    Advice to Management

This position needs someone who can manage within IT org and also work with leaders throughout the company.

    Pros

    decent people
good commute if you live in suffolk county

    Cons

terrible leadership. Especially the President of the Puritan's team - he is the worst leader and people are not happy at all. people are treated like a line item in the P&L and nothing more. They are incredibly cheap and do not invest in the business. The culture and morale is terrible.

    Advice to Management

Invest in people and the brand. Build a culture and improve morale. Get a new leader. And stop being so cheap.
