    Pros

    Absolutely amazing staff in all the positions within the store.
    Customers were so much fun and quirky.
    Kids were amazing and if you want to learn to deal with them, there is no better place.
    Family like coworkers.
    Fantastic gifts and treatment from higher ups and company owner.

    Cons

    Not really any cons to be honest, closest thing would be you get some customers who take special gifts as the norm and expect free stuff a lot & some mean ones but that is about it.

    Advice to Management

    Keep being awesome :)

    -some customers are very kind

    Cons

    -lots of entitled customers
    -management is very political and biased
    -no room for growth
    -older employees tend to let newer employees do almost EVERYTHING?

    Advice to Management

    -please actually observe what is going on
    -be fair with scheduling because it clearly isn't

    Pros

    Get to build lego sets, once in awhile and also free tickets to attraction.

    Cons

    Rarely any promotion, or any form of acknowledgement of good work done. Management stays in office and rarely interacts with employees.

    Cons

    Poor leadership
    Very little Communication
    Mistakes are constantly made but never addressed.
    Told that your opinion matters but most in leadership will get defensive and brush off any feedback.
    You’ll have it held against you for speaking up.
    Too political
    Low pay and difficult to achieve annual bonus structure

    -great discount
    -great experience with kids
    -nice co-workers

    Cons

    - intense expectations
    -twice a month mystery shopping
    -you had to constantly be aware that you might get a mystery shopper
    -certain things you had to do or say and if you didn't there was shame and pressure to do better
    -wasn't as fun as an environment as one might think in a lego store

    Be kind, patient, and train well!

    I have been working at The LEGO Group part-time

    Pros

    The environment is great. The teams are good and you get to talk/play with lego aside from doing operational duties. For a retail position it is an awesome job.

    Cons

    The hours are not the best since there are fairly large teams hours are spread out pretty thin.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing it's a great company to work for.

    Pros

    You get to work with children, sell a well known product for a reputable, high profile brand! Great team mates, respectable Store Manager. As others mentioned - great discounts and employee "fringe" benefits (parties, etc).

    Cons

    Low pay. Inflexible hours that fluctuate from maybe 5 hrs /wk to 25 or more, no work life balance for a part time minimum retail job with ridiculous expectations. Always on call, hard to get time off, schedules may come out late. Adding to that, ASM was very unprofessional who mixed personal life with work and berated employees in front of guests for minuscule issues. Picks favourites, rude to other employees. Supervisors may be the same - young staff with little people training and spent more time chatting with one other than working. Topping it off, 5 to 10 minute breaks were frowned upon - even for a quick drink of water or to use the washroom - for a 4 to 5 shift!

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees better. Put in place ways for front life staff to report grievances, such as unprofessionalism by ASM /supervisors.

    Pros

    The LEGO Group as a whole is fantastic. They are smart and caring, and genuinely want the best experience for both their employees and consumers. The pay is competitive for management (although non-management is paid minimum wage, no exceptions), the bonuses are a huge incentive, the discount on products is unbelievable, and we get lots of little perks and gifts from the company.

    Cons

    Unfortunately, your experience will vary wildly based on who constitutes your middle management. If you have a great district manager who genuinely cares about your store and your individual growth, you will excel. If you are in a district/area that has a management team that is more self-serving and only care about the bottom line, you will stagnate and lose faith in the vision set by the larger company. I have been in both situations, and one was the best working experience of my life, the other the worst.

    Advice to Management

    Allow your store management the ability to rate the people above them and have a neutral party, like an ombudsman, to mediate conflict and hear feedback. If "People Promise" truly matters to the company, make sure your little people get the same promises as the big ones.
