Pros
I really do not have much positive to say about the organization. The upper management group was transitioned in prior to the Tervita name change over several years. Prior to those changes and the companies that ran under their own names, there was a successful, dynamic group and everything was great. When those people were dismissed or read the writing on the wall and left, that is about when the positives ended and this company is now in the mess they are in.
Cons
Lack of organization, direction and support. A Vice President that could not keep anything confidential, he would bad mouth any employee behind their backs then turn around on that person and say bad things about them, many times regarding personal things where confidentiality is a must. No work - life balance, I was instructed that I WILL be available 24-7, if I am to leave on vacation I am to have my phone with me at all times, if I left the country a corporate roaming device will be supplied to me. No chance of carreer advancement, they were bringing in all these know it alls from Texas. Finally, after 10 years of employment I am now almost 2 years gone and still awaiting my final monies owed to me.

Pros
The pay is exceptional, the majority of the employees are great, young atmosphere, had a family feel in some groups, and a pretty good service line
Cons
Lots of change, lots of disorganization, lack of career planning and promotion of unworthy individuals. If your young and want experience and don't care how many nights you sleep at home, this may be a good place for you. If you care about work life balance, and your sanity- you won't stay long.
