      Pros

Good Benefits, good pay, good locations

      Cons

Very little training to promote growth, you get stuck in your role forever and when an opening comes up they always outsource.

      Bad Leadership and Culture

      Pros

A few good people, relatively good pay and facility. They say they are trying to improve the culture.

      Cons

Serious organizational politics. Terrible at information sharing and the little information shared is very vague. Lack of clear direction from superiors; they themselves are trying to figure things out but expect that you should have it figured out. Outdated software and constant changes to processes with no clear communication when things change. They want to have an improved culture but do not want to listen or take feedback.

Company going downhill, SEEK EMPLOYMENT ELSEWHERE

      Pros

Good pay & Holidays, still a few good people in the field locations.

      Cons

Disconnect between field & head office, too many middle managers muddling up procedures. Major reason I'm sharing this review is the Employee Unit Ownership Program, invested in it for 8+ years of employment. Left company in 2013 due to previously mentioned practices leading to the downfall of this once great company. Wanted to cash out my shares, was told there was a $250k monthly cap on withdrawals (so many people were leaving the company at this time and cashing out, they couldn't afford to pay it all) and I likely wouldn't see a dime for 7 years. My financial advisor kept at them with phone calls and request forms to withdraw the funds, these were ignored. After several years of bad business decisions during an unstable economic time, Tervita took every dime their employees had given them and 'restructured' it, fancy red tape to say that it's all gone. I saw the writing on the wall, which is why I tried so hard to get my money out, but they made damn sure it didn't happen and squandered it. Wonder if the upper management's quality of life is going to change...? Probably not, but their hardworking current and former employees are royally screwed. All I can do now is cut my losses and be glad I'm out of that toxic, depressing work environment.

      Bumpy, but progressively getting better.

      Pros

Great Company, senior management is caring and makes an effort to communicate with everyone. Good pay, flexible schedule and opportunities.

      Cons

Has gone through several changes in the last three years and there are some people who are still not ready to change. Some people have some really negative attitudes and need to quit and stop making it a negative environment for the people who want to be there.

      Cons

Promote unsafe work environment when the job has to be done no matter what. Worked at a plant containing h2s.. third party had issues there but they wouldn’t listen to their drivers.. just enforced them to person tasks in unsafe environment

      Pros

      Good pay, benefits and people.

      Cons

Horrible morale (after round 1 of layoffs, made worse by round 2, then round 3.... etc), no pay increase in four years, lost all the money I invested (I take partial blame, but by the time I saw the red flags - the queue was 100 people long... and I am assuming it was all upper management )
