Pros
Very easy job Ability to work from home
Cons
High employee turnover Low pay Zero room for advancement Zero raises Management is horrible, quick to blame employees for problems that require resolution at their and IT level, even when employee has brought the problem to the attention of management time and time again
7 - 1.0Nov 1, 2020ContractorFormer Employee, more than 5 yearsPortland, OR
Pros
Flexibility, weekends off, easy appointment system, lost of appointments if you speak a major language, sometimes compensated for driving or parking.
Cons
Lack of work, contractors are treated like cogs in a machine. If you stand up for yourself and decline an appointment that is outside of your area. Or outside your hours, or just not worth your time you’ll be black listed. Management talks badly about contractors from their office and have an air of superiority around them when they rely on us for their pay their bills. . If you step on their toes they’ll talk amongst themselves on how to replace you even if you’re down the hall. Owners are filthy rich but they don’t care that they pay less than anyone in the area.
