I have been working at Talentcor full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I don't know what the person in that other review was going on about. First of all, there's nothing wrong with being a sandwich artist, and secondly, you're obviously a disgruntled former employee settling a grudge. Self-important much? This company is filled with really nice employees who are a blast to spend time with, and who care about you as a person. It has one of the best commission-structures in the city, and you have the opportunity to earn in accordance with the effort and skill that you put into the job.

    Cons

Account managers do have to do business development, but the targets are reasonable and it's not cut-throat like other agencies. Your colleagues won't be out there trying to steal your contacts or step on your toes.

    Advice to Management

The chocolate-to-work ratio is completely fantastic, good job. As long as the focus continues to be on fairness and transparency, you'll be just fine.

I have been working at Talentcor full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

NONE AT ALL! WORST COMPANY EVER! would rather be a sandwich artist

    Cons

i would rather work at McDonald's at least your appreciated there and your manager isn't lazy and useless.

    Advice to Management

quit before the company goes under so it doesn't look like you were part of the sinking ship

I worked at Talentcor (More than a year)

    Pros

-Sr leadership team is all from randstad - very knowledgeable, intelligent, great sales training, good creative ideas on how to capture new business, sales events were top notch and tips really worked
-Marketing team is one of the best in the industry - sales material are creative, in abundance, engaging, internal contests are very good and produce results
-Mature workforce of recruiters - everyone knows their part, knows their job, and does it well
-Boot camp training is the best in the industry - great for beginners or those new to industry
-Everything you do is incentivized - commission structure for perm and temp is very lucrative and competitive
-Bullhorn - best system in the business probably, works for you, makes life for recruiters very simple and easy - no time wastage on stupid admin things
-Open door policy is true - you can talk to craig brown or nicola malcolm, they're approachable, intelligent and have great advice to give

    Cons

-Cut throat and ruthless like randstad in terms of attrition - high turn over internally because metrics and expectations are not flexible
-Bad branch managers - micro managing, unsuccessful examples for team, don't hire internally right
-Lots of bickering and cattiness over commission, you have to fight for what yours, you have to make sure you document everything so you have proof
-brand isn't too well established yet, so getting people to listen to you on a coldcall is tough
-DG engineering doesnt share with TC, so the two verticals dont work together, lots of lost opportunities
-No career growth opportunities internally - you will die a recruiter. not a great place for young people/millennials looking to grow but great stepping stone

    Advice to Management

Keep going but stay flexible, the work culture and environment is too stifling, you will grow but you need to keep your workforce happy - reputation is everything in every way ; improve on becoming a workplace young people can actually grow a career with, esp. if they dont want to remain a recruiter forever

I have been working at Talentcor full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Awesome culture. They hire experienced professionals who know their stuff and let them do their jobs without micromanaging. Great incentives - reward trips, annual bonus, good commission structure.
    Fun people, not stuffy.

    Cons

This is not really a con about the company, more so the industry. It's a very performance based industry, very competitive. If you don't perform, then you'll be let go. But that's just business....there's no where to really hide underperformance in this industry - your numbers are too transparent.

I have been working at Talentcor full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Having worked for this company for more than 15+ years I can honestly say it's been worth every minute. Executive/Upper management allows each branch to work to their community and understands the nuances across the country. We continue to be client, co-worker and candidate centric.

    Cons

Communication can be a bit better from Upper Management/Executive

    Pros

None, this is a garbage organization run by a bunch of incompetent tools.

    Cons

Get a descent education so that you don't have to be employed by such an incompetent employer who don't know crap. I think management needs to go back to school and get their high school diploma.

    Advice to Management

    Get a life you tools.

    Pros

They offer a good training program, and in theory appear to be a good organization to work with/for. However, once in, it doesn't take long to realize the incompetence of management and their inability to provide a hostile free work environment.
Some people are amazing to work with. Very transparent company.

    Cons

Inadequate management which resulted in bad decisions that ultimately effected the work environment and morale. Corporate culture is low and at time could be very toxic. High turn over, low pay with long drawn out sales cycles and misrepresented commission structures. This company is nothing special and very much like every other agency in staffing. Call center environment, metric driven, internal fractures in branches due to inadequate management. Ridiculously low base salary.

    Advice to Management

Ensure your have effective strategies in place to achieve your desired results. Hire the correct management to facilitate your goals.

    Pros

Top performers are rewarded generously. Good relationship with WSIB. They are dedicated to becoming the largest recruitment firm in the country and only work with ethical companies.

    Cons

Commission squabbles and territory disputes handled behind closed doors and exceptions are made that are not available to employees who are less well connected or who bill at lower levels.

    Pros

What an experience to be part of a company that enables employees from coast to coast to work together for one common goal “Client Service”. The continual growth of our market is the ultimate proof that what we offer to our clients is nothing but first class service but most importantly the services we provide are satisfying their needs so they can grow in their field. For me Talentcor is the mark that other companies should endeavor to become.

    Cons

Nothing that I can think right now.

    Pros

This staffing agency will work hard to ensure that you have access to positions and professional development, should you be reliable to them.

    Cons

Jobs can be inconsistent, but that is the nature of temp work

    Advice to Management

Know that the Toronto office is fantastic.
