I worked at TIBCO Software (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Its a double-edged sword, but the benefit of being owned by Vista is that there is some actual experience in the areas of operations that will improve the company. Firm is continuing to acquire companies that are relevant in the marketplace, mostly because it can't develop anymore

    Cons

Entire market opportunity consists of firms that invested in Tibco over the last 5-10 years. Demand from new logos is non-existent. Furthermore, the top tech talent gravitate towards the largest and most probable projects so they can get paid. End result is people (nepotism abounds) who sit on large existing accts can do well, the rest starve with the remaining inexperienced resources. Marketing generates maybe 1 qualified lead per rep each quarter. The tech leadership hasn't launched a successful product in 3+ years and they are far behind the curve on the cloud (even though that was supposed to be the '15 deliverable). Its no wonder they are getting lumped into the 'legacy' bin. Tibco has no partner ecosystem and no real plans on developing one other than lip service. Result is that clients are faced with a choice of internal resources and Tibco PSG only for implementation. Its a big red flag for CIOs. Operations are a black hole, legal understaffed and confused by their own agreements. Deals get 86'd because the legal organization is inflexible.

    Advice to Management

The tools you think are going to help you execute are simply tools to micromanage and waste people's time.

I worked at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

If you are management many pros, as they do mostly nothing but waste time together and are disconnected from what is going on.

    Cons

Company is going towards being a body shop. They recently got bought out and the owning company and managers are only concerned with 'efficiency'. That relates to giving more money to management and sales people (without any true benefit to the actual sale). The company is probably being set up to put lipstick on a pig to sell off. Not worth the time.

    Advice to Management

Quit the field and leave. Let people who care more about the actual employees and work than just fleecing the company and being dellusional.

    Pros

I worked from TIBCO Software India Pvt Ltd. Company benefits were good. Team Leads and Resource Managers were very helpful.

    Cons

Projects were not very well managed. Ended up working over the weekends mostly. Daily work more than 8 hours. No compensation payment for extra hours worked. Developers were not a part of meeting in which work estimation was done.

    Advice to Management

Please be aware of how many hours the employees are working for a project.

I have been working at TIBCO Software full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work Culture is good. Timings are flexible. WFH available. No restriction on websites in office.

    Cons

The company is now on a downhill. No more exciting work. Too many issues at a management level. Most of the good and senior folks have left. It's filled with new people who have no idea what the product is and are incapable of giving any KT sessions, thus resulting in a complete mess.

    Advice to Management

We have too many non technical mangers now, which is not a good thing :-).

    Pros

hard to say except cars, locations, noting more

    Cons

The company will have disappeared in HP, Oracle, legacy list of products in less than 5 years Far away from market best practices, still does not understood marketing and sales are merging. That the success of a company is relying on Growth Hack best practices. 2 second advantage - is ten years behind competition internally :)

    Advice to Management

Hire a strong start-up leader from Silicon valley as CEO
