I have been working at TD part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-they pay higher than other customer service jobs for people with no qualification (the gap) -they hire people who are not qualified and provide training

    Cons

Company Cons -company culture creates pressure to meet goals and lead to unethical behavior because the advisers are focused on up selling account instead of considering the clients needs (for example lots of clients have the All Inclusive Accounts when they have no need for the All Inclusive account or can't afford to pay $30/month). Furthermore, there are no repercussion for these people to justify their logic and...

    Advice to Management

Change company culture and focus on incentives that support ethical behavior. I worked at TD part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Could learn a lot on the job about retail banking (going to be quick on your feet when it comes to dealing with cash; observe and learn about money spending habits from your customers)

    Cons

    - Very political when it comes to promotion; some managers are all about meeting goals and not about training people - Sometimes because the goals are quite unrealistic, you have to say things that are actually not beneficial to your customers, may put people in even worse debt

    Advice to Management

    - make goals more realistic for tellers; financial reps; put your clients first
