Pros
Good to work there, healthy environment
Cons
Remote so makes it a bit harder sometimes
- 1.0May 3, 2023Project LeadFormer Employee, less than 1 year
Pros
Nothing positive to say, besides being able to work remotely.
Cons
Leadership will work you to the bone. Complete disregard for your mental well-being. They create a hostile work environment where bullying runs rampant and is part of the culture.
- 5.0Apr 19, 2023Investment leadFormer Employee, more than 3 years
Pros
Super interesting work, super nice colleagues, remote first work.
Cons
Remote first has some disadvantages. Deadlines can be hard. Management takes a long time to recruit new hires.

Pros
The remote work is okay.
Cons
Investigations are being withheld from the company by corrupt CEO and executives, who also coerce staff into participating in their crimes.

Pros
Great team, great work-life balance through remote work from anywhere in Canada, great mission to help Canadian entrepreneurs and the environment. Many learning and development opportunities.
Cons
Very busy, some silos between departments, a lot of change going on (systems, processes, etc.)

Pros
Remote-first workplace, fantastic colleagues, work with leading cleantech companies across Canada.
Cons
not the highest paying job, but the work is the most interesting I've ever had.

Pros
The remote aspect was okay.
Cons
Executives put constant pressure on workers to disburse money with little regard for compliance or risk management.
2 - 1.0Apr 26, 2022Investment leadCurrent Employee, more than 5 yearsOttawa, ON
Pros
There are no pros, everyone gets worked to the bone.
Cons
Executive management has no idea how the majority of employees feel; the CEO will appoint her friends to executive positions without following proper procedures, and other executives will pressure their employees to post bogus Glassdoor reviews in order to improve the company's dismal Glassdoor scores. The CEOs and the board of directors should be investigated by the government.

Pros
The people are great. So are the companies and the mandate.
Cons
Zero career development. Few advancement opportunities, no transparency around open positions and recruitment (ie they just appoint people to roles), no discussion/negotiation around annual increases. You have to watch what you say - independent thought is not encouraged. There is a “rule by fear” vibe that comes straight from the CEO. She is well-known for belittling and bullying staff. There should not be tolerance for that in this day and age.

Pros
Excellent Leadership. Clear focus and strategy. Agile. Very considerate of the whole well-being of team members, both through compensation and leadership actions throughout the pandemic to ensure team members felt supported. Small team (50-60 people across Canada) so lots of cross team collaboration and sharing. Lots of opportunities for learning. Focus of our work is supporting entrepreneurs and moving at the speed of business, so lots of challenge and opportunites for personal growth while fulfilling an important mandate.
Cons
It's a busy (but rewwarding) environment.
