    Pros

Good starting wage and regular increases. There is a nice filing system in the back office. There is a water cooler an small fridge for staff use.

    Cons

Very noisy atmosphere due to cash registers ringing and children screaming. Inexperienced manager. Much better manager in place now.

    Advice to Management

Have the office cleaned weekly. Have the floors washed and waxed monthly. Update fascia.

I worked at Sussex Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The schedule is decent enough but only if you enjoy 12 hour shifts. No such thing as work-life balance with this employer though.

    Cons

The wages are disgracefully below industry standards. There is a complete lack of ethics in the way this business runs. Management seems to rule by harassment, intimidation and humiliation. The management refers to the office as a "family" but that extends only to treating the workers as children. At best, each employee may be called into the office several times a day to be chastised for their mistakes. At worst, even the simplest mistakes were the source of public shaming in front of one's colleagues, taking documents out of the "basket of shame" to humiliate them in front of the office. Employees are spoken down to and treated with no respect, and threatened that they will be fired if management finds out they posted a resume on a job site. There are egregious violations of human rights standards going on every day. Not worth it.

    Advice to Management

Start treating your employees with the respect they deserve.
