Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI have been working at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre full-time
Pros
-an annual salary -fringe benefits -flexible hours
Cons
-no job security, if they don't like you for whatever reason you're guaranteed to be gone sooner rather than later -no opportunity to move up within the organization unless you know someone or are friends with them -long hours -dictatorship management style -silo effect between different departments -high turnover rate, most people stay 1-2 years and then leave voluntarily or get fired (see first Cons point above); they use a lot of people from job agencies so they hire/fire people all the time it's almost normal business practice when they fire someone casually; there are a handful of employees who have been there for 10+ years doing the same work in the same job title, these people have not moved up and they are the ones who cannot compete in the job market and therefore have decided to stay put until retirement or they get fired, whichever comes first -expensive parking, e.g. no discounts for staff
