I have been working at Sungevity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good employees, and Good Mission,

    Cons

Pays very less and has a terrible salary negotiation culture. They are borderline duplicitous when it comes to paying people. Their HR department is poor in my opinion.

I worked at Sungevity full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Super fun, energetic start up. Loved my co-workers and boss. Felt like I was contributing something very valuable to the world - solar energy promoter!

    Cons

I was chosen as part of a work program, which I applied for and fundraised for, to go to Nepal to set up a solar system on top of a tourist tower. On my layover in Chicago to Kathmandu, I was called by HR and laid off before I boarded the plane. Worst experience ever. It was three years ago, and it still stings.
