    - Work life balance/lots of vacations, flexible depending on department policies
    - Generally good people
    - Interesting industries
    - Petro-Canada brand is a sponsor for the Olympic

    - Very bureaucratic
    - Performance rewarded based on perception rather then actual results
    - Management is very robotic

    Great team members, fair compensation, potential to develop

    Cons

    Needed change happens slowly, can get lost in the mass of humanity working there. At times there is a "what have you done lately" mentality.

    Advice to Management

    Upper to middle management need development and mentoring to properly support front line supervisors and workers.

    Salary and compensation and that is it

    Toxic culture in corporate
    DIrectors just want to get to the next rung on the career ladder
    8-9 levels in the organization - senior leaders control over powering
    Forgot about the PEOPLE aspect
    Bogged down by rules and processes that are not clear or documented

    Advice to Management

    Figure out your culture and leaders lead by example
    Empower your people
    Treat people with respect
    Flatten the organization ( processes are too complicated)

    Pros

    Good money and bonuses, but that's it.

    Cons

    Toxic culture, Sr leadership is disrespectful and only care about moving up the ladder, which creates a back stabbing culture. If your smart, make sure no one knows or you become a target.

    Walk the talk, and practice what you preach

    Pros

    Good working environment with positive people and a lot of different opportunities to develop different skills. Very competitive compensation with a very fair system of evaluating and comparing employees.

    Cons

    Large organization that can make doing things difficult at times. It seems to be getting bogged down on processes which can be good but often slow.

    Advice to Management

    Keep employees engaged by focussing on company culture and having management support of projects so that decisions get made in a timely manner and progress does not get bogged down by indecision.
