I have been working at Sun Life part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Professional company in insurance industry. Everything is well organised

    Cons

I am administrative to a financial advisor, she is on commission base. So her focus is on her business, there is no systematic training for people without any experience.

    Advice to Management

Provide more training, and big picture first

    Pros

highly competitive Insurance company in the word.

    Cons

managers are difficult to give competitive salaries to their secretaries, delegate more works even personal needs and of their families. No bonus when it comes to Christmas (December).

Would like to request to please advise the managers to give reasonable salaries to their secretaries.

I have been working at Sun Life full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Fellow employees were good co-workers.

    Cons

Senior management didn't seem to understand the essential work that the lower level employees were doing. New schemes were created without consulting the people who were actually doing the work. Costly mistakes were made because of this blind spot.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what is really going on in the office, out on the floor, not in your ivory towers.
