    Pros

It is an amazing company to work for. I feel i get alot out of the job, meet new people everyday and get to talk to people about their life experiences.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be upsetting when you have people coming in and asking can they donate there relatives belongings as they have just passed away.

I have been working at Sue Ryder part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

A fantastic charity with a great focus on delivering the best care to people who really need it. No work place is perfect, but in my experience, managers really try hard to support their staff and balance their needs with the needs of the business.
Training and development is good if you want it and can prove it's benefit to the business. I have worked in a number of different sectors and can honestly say that this is the best "Feel Good" job I have had. I know that every day I come to work I make a real, positive difference. A great place to be.

    Cons

Sometimes it can be heartbreaking knowing the stories of the people we care for, especially when their personal circumstances are similar to yours. It makes you shed a tear (or three!) and then reminds you why you come to work every day.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, focusing and caring for your employees as much as you care for our Service Users. Knowing you genuinely care about and invest in us makes us want to always deliver our best.

I worked at Sue Ryder full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Sue Ryder is without doubt the best company I have ever worked for! They don't always get everything right of course, but the intention is good. The people are amazing, totally dedicated to what they do and in most cases, to supporting each other. I have had to leave due to personal circumstances, but I have extremely happy memories of my time there and would recommend it to everyone.

    Cons

Obviously, being a charity, the pay isn't the best, but I felt the flexibility, job satisfaction and work life balance made up for that. I always felt that what I did was valued and that meant more than a large pay packet to me
