Pros

The founders have their intent on building a great culture. Everyone who works here is great, super smart, humble, and all interested in building in amazing team.

Cons

The company is just about two years old and doesn't have all the structure in terms of management, feedback, etc that a larger org would. Benefits are good for a startup but not as good as larger companies

Pros

Product: most every developer that we speak to has been blown away by how easy it is to integreate with Stytch, and more importantly, have been blown away by the results. Developers see an almost immiedate increase in conversion by going passwordless—and it's been inspiring to see the creative use cases they think after integrating Stytch. Nobody likes passwords: users hate them and companies are quickly realizing it's a massive attack surface area. Stytch is solving this key issue in a thoughtful way. And what's even more exciting is that we are in the early innings of this technological switch! Culture: it is an extremely well-thought out culture that emphasizes transparency, openness, learning, and collobaration. Everyone at the company has been truly amazing to work with so far— people here are happy to help out with any ask, even if it is outside of their normal scope. And this culture spills over to our customers too; Stytch is empathetic and understanding. Leadership: the founders lead from the front and are seriously driven—they are on a mission to not only grow the company but also grow the people they bring onto the team. Vision + Execution: the company has a clear long-term vision that is driven by mission and guiding principles, yet that doesn't get in the way of executing on a daily basis. I've only been at Stytch for a few months, but I've been extremely impressed by how many new products have been shipped in that timeframe. The company has a clear understanding of where we want to be in 2+ years, and people realize it means daily execution to get there.

Cons

Stytch is still a startup. So if you are looking for more rigid structure, it might not be the best fit for you.

Great people, but has struggles

Pros

The people at Stytch really made my experience working there great. The bar for engineers was high, so people were given a good amount of autonomy while learning a lot from others. The projects were fulfilling and there’s a lot of collaboration with different teams and functions. Work life balance was kind of what you made of it. There were people working a lot of hours, but management wasn’t pressuring it. PTO was encouraged and respected.

Cons

Leadership and management was all pretty new to the roles. There were frequent priority changes and the (struggling) sales team had many strategy changes and turnover. On the business side, there seemed to be some petty layoffs over disagreements. Stock options were pretty worthless since their series B was at such a crazy valuation. I really hoped they repriced and issued new options to their employees. This one is more personal, but I was laid off and was disappointed that nobody from management or leadership reached out. Just notified by email. I thought we had a better relationship than that. I’m putting ”no” for “Recommend to a friend?” because of the stock options and the struggling sales. This could have changed, so make your own decision based on the information you can get. Otherwise, I would have put “yes.”
