dont do it if you want work life balance

      Pros

access to internal applications, benefits after 6 months

      Cons

no one will ever get back to you after you apply internally. Management has terrible training. When everything was done in the office, training was done over a few days. Now each survey training online is only about 4 h. If you have questions and contact management they are quick to tell you to go read the manual even if you KNOW the answer is not in there. They have no idea what's going on "sorry everyone they gave me this task last minute let me figure out what's going on" is a common thing they say. The pay for a telephone interviewer is $17.83 an hour and benefits come only after 6 months. You don't get to know your coworkers. Being remote, everyone just does their own thing. No contact at all. The respondents are consistently rude. If you have an ethnic name, or have an accent, respondents will throw racial remarks at you. You will have nightmares about being yelled at for the first little while. Also, your calls are tracked. They make sure no minute is unaccounted for. You have to be making calls for 8 hours straight (other than a 30 min lunch break). Shifts for me start as early as 8:00am and go as late as 9:15pm.
