Pros
Smile Brands is one of the best dental companies to work for in both private and corporate settings. There are many positive aspects to working here. My top three reasons; 1. Complete autonomy: I enjoying knowing that when I make a treatment plan for my patients that plan is made between me and the patient. 2. Support: from upper management to specialist in the office are there to help solve problems, work on cases and help me grow in the areas I desire. 3. The company creates outreach programs to give back to the community and they even give back globally. In the recent issues that have hit the world I could not imagine working for a more supportive company. From the CEO and all the work he put into making sure we had all the proper PPEs and safety protocols to my local team, our office are the safest place to work. The employee's and patient's safety has been the highest priority since returning to work during this pandemic.
Cons
No company is prefect but for me there are not too many cons for me to list. The one thing that comes to mind is we still use paper charts. However, it was an easy adjustment from when I started.

RecommendsNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI worked at Smile Brands full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
- Most people are really friendly in the office - Learn all that you can for a year and then leave for a job that will compensate fairly.
Cons
- Reviews were "encouraged" by top management and then reviewed by managers to ensure we complied. - Departments were often encouraged to make contests around Glassdoor reviews, encouraging one employee to leave multiple reviews. - Cult-like Company Culture - if you dare question the rules or didn't participate in the events, you were a disgrace BUT participate too much and now you getting distracted from work being done. -OT was almost mandated (you were judged and often ridiculed to other coworkers by management for not staying after hours) but then they factored OT into your pay rate when asking for a raise to make it seem like you were earning more.

RecommendsPositive OutlookNo Opinion of CEOI have been working at Smile Brands full-time for more than 5 years
Pros
Having corporate support in billing, human resources, and payroll, makes an office manager have a few less "to-do" items. With having several local offices in each state supporting you is very helpful as far as staffing and borrowing of supplies.
Cons
Having several people to answer to above you is difficult at times. Waiting for responses from upper management on issues is frustrating at times. Pay is not what it should be. Most offices are understaffed or overstaffed at all times. Raises and advances in job positions are few and fair between. Once your have been here for so long, there is no where to move up in the company. Bonus pay is unfair for employees and managers, almost always disappointed.
