A good company, lacking ambition drive and focus; will be around forever but needs to review it’s place in the market.
May 5, 2023 - Senior Project ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Flexible, professional, compassionate, dependable, safe, relaxed, fun.
Cons
The company lacks focus, strategic ambition and drive. A good contingent of colleagues have extremely long service, are very competent, but coasting towards retirement so have little interest in the long term. The remaining two contingents appear to be corporate climbers, which lack experience and technical knowledge but are well versed at appealing to egos and the company ‘strap lines’ and want to make a name for themselves, they have limited understanding and capability to put together a long term strategy or those which have little ambition to progress or are chronically over looked. They’ve a high rate of attrition of talented young and ambitious individuals who aspire to a long term careers with Skanska likely, due to the slow progression and improved opportunities elsewhere.
