      Not Progressive

      Pros

Predominantly female run. No other positives since I have to write 5 words or more.

      Cons

No diversity. There’s one person of color at the corporate office and she’s in accounting. I guess the HR lady is also a person of color. No room for improvement. All of the higher ups have been there for more than 18 years and will be there until they die. Oh and don’t counter the offer they give in the initial offer letter they’ll view you as “greedy”. A 5% ask in increase is not greedy. Also there is no benefit to having an employee lease. They still run your credit and background after already doing so for your preemployment checks. They also don’t send the offer letter until after they submit background information. Their hiring process overall is a mess. Also, don’t ask questions for clarification. The regionals will view you as unfit or unqualified for a job. Their employees are subpar at best and the worst leasing experience ever. Simpson could do and be so much more.

      Pros

Company policy on a national level was good.

      Cons

Company support and management on a local level was not great. There was a lot of nepotism involving upper management. Wages were nowhere near where they should have been for the position. Only a few properties in the area, with long term management, no room for advancement until someone retires.

Workplace bullying , Managment turning a blind eye

      Pros

Good pay if you've been there for a while. Great insurance and 401 plans. The company will spend the money on maintaining the properties.

      Cons

NO room for any advance to upper positions. HR ONLY will listen to ONE side of any story or problem an employee may encounter in the workplace ( always taking managments side). Most upper management seem to think they are MUCH better than the LOW MAN ON THE TOTEM POLE. The place I worked had so much workplace bullying from mainly one superviser toward all persons in their controll.
