      An okay place to work

      Pros

It's an okay place to work.

      Cons

Compensation is mediocre. It's a megacorp but they don't offer megacorp compensations. Saskatoon is an awful place to work. It's frozen half the year and there's nothing in Saskatoon that compensates for the miseries associated with its winters. Saskatoon routinely ranks as one of the most dangerous cities in Canada. Big item theft is a pervasive problem. The managers in the Saskatoon office tend to present advancement opportunities to those who they're comfortable associating with, and this means the local whites. Some of them are from the rural areas of Saskatchewan and seem to find association with minorities in the office, unpleasant. I do not recommend this place if you're not white; your opportunities for advancement are hindered by the fact that career advancement is not driven by the availability of requisitions you can apply to internally, but by managers who present opportunities to those whom they socialize with the most, and this clique is exclusively white; the turnaround for minorities in the office is quite high, so I recommend not working here if you're not white and want to advance in the organization chart.

      Pros

Diverse friendly environment, co-workers are very helpful, have learnt a lot about basic software engineering flow.

      Cons

Hard to build the core analogy about the products and how they work, at the beginning. But it gets better over time.
