I have been working at Shelter Insurance full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I've worked with great people, both on my team and in the organization as a whole. Very friendly culture, where people genuinely want to help you and get along.

    Cons

Changes happen slowly, and pay, while competitive when you look at the full benefits package, is lower in terms of salary when compared to other companies in the area. Management is heavy-handed and tries to manage IS teams too much, although it could be worse.

    Advice to Management

Let teams have more control over their own processes
