    I have been working at ServiceMaster full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Good bosses who listen to your every need. Salaries are also at market average, or slightly above. Friendly atmosphere to work in.

    Cons

    Long hours some days. Sometimes lack of organization. Adding more text to get to the minimum word limit for this field.

    Advice to Management

    Things are improving from years prior, keep doing what you're doing and it will get even better. Don't forget about the core of your business - and that is good service.

    Good pay when working drama!

    Cons

    Company is terrible at containment. They don't have any regard for the life of there employees! Always pushing to do things the wrong way as its cheaper. Hold bags or asbestos months at a time in there office so they don't pay a separate dumping fee!

    Pros

    I was paid a good wage as a carpenter, company van, overtime, lots of opportunity if youre willing to kiss the *sses of the snobby office staff.

    Cons

    Constant criticism by project managers, etc. Who are completely clueless as to how the work is done. Always told the job is taking too long, cost too much, etc. Due to the project managers inability to estimate accurately.

    Advice to Management

    Run a piece of vacuum cleaner hose from your exhaust pipe through your car window. Start the engine and see how long you can sit in the car.

    Total lack of advancement due to poor leadership and narrowed mind old fashion managers

    I worked at ServiceMaster part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Their computer pays in time. The only thing that works.

    Cons

    The leadership lies if it suits them. They all cover each other and the worker always is the one at fault. If a worker complains he will be terminated or pushed out. They also don't appreciate good work. High turnover of staff due to completely incompetent leadership up to management positions.

    Advice to Management

    There is no solution short of firing all of the middle management. A hopeless case in my opinion.

    Pros

    Hours were great for most part, work was satisfying. most people were great to work with

    Cons

    Jealousy as well as unprofessional behavior between management and staff within the company made for hard working environment. Wages were not in line with work load, improper payment of overtime.

    Advice to Management

    Keep closer review of the accounts and employees to avoid drama. consider training and in house promotions to avoid jealousy towards those that are promoted within.
