    I worked at ServiceMaster full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Very little if any. Let's just say it's torture working here.

    Cons

    No one at this company wants to work here. If you start working here - you will regret is in less than a week.

    Advice to Management

    Not sure there is any positive advice to management.

    I have been working at ServiceMaster full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Loyalty is always present. As long as you show up and are willing to work, they will like you. They are very into personal growth and development, and although part of the company motto is to "honor God in all we do," they're not too conservative or pushy with religion. It's a great company with some great people that does have opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

    They over work their good employees

    Advice to Management

    Hire more full time people Don't get so stuck in "this is the way we've always done it" and embrace change instead of fearing it INVEST IN JANITORIAL!! It's a steady market that will help your company grow leaps and bounds

    Good people, sincere desire to do job right. Honest.

    Cons

    You need to pay to keep talent. If you lure people with promises of bonuses, you can't suddenly cut them and think they should be ok with it.

    I have been working at ServiceMaster

    Pros

    Most of my coworkers were enjoyable. Managers were paid competitively.

    Cons

    ServiceMaster has an extremely non-diverse, legacy group of upper managers who are afraid of change. Sunday morning activities trump Monday through Friday contributions. Numerous rounds of "right-sizing" left moral in the tank, and employees holding their breath.

    I worked at ServiceMaster full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Energetic enthusiasm for winning and growth which provide direction and momentum and defines successful outcome with a team mission one approach

    Cons

    Company is so large that associates are made to feel very small and policies often can not be changed even when it makes sense to do so. Focus on profits makes associates feel undervalued

    Advice to Management

    Consider treatment of associates and whether you would feel valued if you were treated as you treat associates- check policies, pay practices, recognition systems and leadership competencies with other firms and consider adjustments
