Don’t recommend
Apr 2, 2023 - Accounting Department in Port Dover, ONRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
They had “beer fridays” which was suppose to enhance productivity and team building, essentially was just cliques and exclusion. Right idea, wrong execution The gym and personal trainer was positive
Cons
Toxic culture Bullying and harassment tolerated by management Essentially no onboarding or orientation experience

Truckers run far far away from this company
Jul 19, 2022 - Lease OperatorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
No pros at all Bunch of scam artists
Cons
Where do I begin ? ... pay is bad for a lease operator that's taking on hefty truck payments ,paying fuel , all mechanical issues are paid by lease op. They will run you hard and give you zero home life ..I FOREWARN they will wait till truck is almost paid for ( if u make it that far ) then do everything in their power to get rid of you and take the truck back ... This is not a good place to work

Pros
Shiny truck They will hire anybody even criminals with federal charges or crimes against women. Dispatch is decent
Cons
You can't make money, every two weeks they take 1500 plus fuel, DEF, repairs(and there are lots) and every other expense you have, Average pay is 300 biweekly, and lately most drivers owed $500-$2000. All 2017-2020 trucks need work, regularly. They base the pay at 6mpg but there is no way you can maintain 6mpg, so each mile you don't you owe. They are self insured but will charge you $75 every two weeks for an insurance buy-down for as long as your there. They micromanage you like crazy, You won't have a life.

I loved the runs but hated being lied to...
May 13, 2022 - Lease OperatorRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
For the most part, I truly enjoyed working with my dispatchers and loved most of the runs.
Cons
lies by management: I wanted to go on the Northern Ontario fleet and I was blatantly told by someone in management that they don't go to there. I am from Northern Ontario. Due to my own circumstances, I had to let the company go.

If you want to be gone and never get home it works.

Once you say you will try a run. They will try there best to keep you on it even if you ask not to do it anymore

Unethical practices at top management. Complete disregard for existing labour laws & standards.
Aug 12, 2016 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
they will hire anyone & try them out.
Cons
Family owned Canadian company where only family members hold top management positions. Favoritism & nepotism at the top. No regard for Canadian labour laws & standards. Poor starting pay & promise the moon. Constant micro management. Lack of decent corporate culture & use of profanity is rampant at work place. Unethical sales scheme where small carriers are used as a pawn to achieve their sales target. No career progression at all. Company refuses to pay for cell phone usage where you are making more than 50% of your calls to US & Canada as a long distance. This is very unfair to employees.
