I worked at Scotiabank full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Like other Banks in Canada, generates large number of employment.

    Cons

Autocratic management style. Every internal downward communication begins with "Boss wants it, so you do it without looking at pros and cons"
Lowest salaries among the top five banks in Canada. When annual viewpoint survey repeatedly showed that employees are least satisfied about comparable salaries at Scotiabank, the management dropped that question from the survey.

    Advice to Management

Empowerment to the employees. Take criticism and act to make things better for employees.
