I have been working at Scotiabank part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Able to sit, good hr and benefits

    Cons

Lots of slow, rude and sexually offensive elderly customers. Asking for a lunch break is like asking to rob the bank itself. Say they offer many opportunities to move up but if management feels you are a good teller they will do everything they can to hold you there. Courses to ‘move up’ and hain certifications are withheld from employees that truly want to work hard and move up. End up discoueaged and wanting to leave like everyone else before

    Advice to Management

Overly micromanaged, tellers know what they need to do and the experience of being a branch manager does not seem cohesive with front line (tellers). Over worked, under paid ($16/hr), continuously understaffed due to role dynamics and high turnover
