I worked at Scotiabank full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Benefits, full time salaried, severance package

    Cons

Intense sales targets, extremely focused on productivity/numbers/sales, daily/weekly/monthly targets, every second counts. Impossible to get a loan. They’d rather see you go to the competitor if you have minimal accounts.

I have been working at Scotiabank full-time

    Pros

Awesome health benefits, good infrastructure, good community spirit at the branches I've worked at.

    Cons

Sales goals are constantly pushed nonstop and if you dont hit you target for one week expect your boss to be in your office on monday discussing that with you. Its a good line of work for people who are good at sales, but the whole "putting customers first" isn't entirely true because goals are the main (and sometimes feels like only) concern. You arent there to advise and help you are there to sell or build rapport so you can sell in the future. This is a salesman position in a pretty wrap.
