I worked at Schreiber Foods full-time

    Pros

Depending on which site you work you are paid pretty well and may work 3 days one week and 4 days the next. They also have profit sharing which is nice. The first line supervisors are nice.

    Cons

Usually the office management is not great. They do not pursue hiring so you get teams that are burned out with overtime. They give you a very flowery speech about how great the company is and all the policies they have during orientation. Basically you discover they waive those policies at any time to the detriment of the employee. HR teams are usually lazy. They will spend a lot of time trying to find things to punish employees over but you have to repeatedly engage them to get anything you need.

I worked at Schreiber Foods full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Schreiber is a great employer, they look after their employees. There is a fantastic Stock option program that goes hand in hand with 401 K contributions. You can receive paid education as well

    Cons

Demanding schedule and the "red Tape" that goes along with most large organizations. If you can do as required, it's no problem.

    Pros

Good Pay and a balanced work life with decent benefits

    Cons

severe lack of overtime in maintenance but it gives you more time at home. Health insurance is bad, but most places are these days

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company itself is wonderful I really like my job itself. 8 hour shifts decent pay for the area.

    Cons

Bad management horrible HR department. Day shift management will yell at you on the floor in front of everyone for no reason. They have their own agenda and if they dont like you then your life will be very hard at work. Basically hostile work environment. They allow specific employees to do whatever the want and get away with it including but not limited to bullying others and not taking responsibility for their actions and blaming it on others despite evidence to the contrary.

    Advice to Management

Firing the department head and day shift management and head if HR will go a long way but not fix all the problems

I have been working at Schreiber Foods full-time

    Pros

Good pay, decent hours, for the most part friendly co-workers. frequent raises, job security, great quarterly bonus, good benefits.

    Cons

HR is not a supportive department, everybody fears HR.
Everything is based on seniority, if you ask to go home, and there is someone who has worked there longer than you, they get to go home not you. some positions are given to people solely based on how long theyve worked there not based on actual experience or merit.
