    Pros

Great work life balance. Flexible from home work option. Employee are taken care of.

    Cons

No clear framework for new employees to enter and grow. It is really up to you to own your development and your direction, which could be a positive, but has its limit.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - excellent work/life balance - excellent benefits - RRSP contributions - company share options - great co-workers - flexible hours and ability to work from home - fun events for employees - average salary but all benefits make it a good package

    Cons

    - most of the middle management is useless, way too many levels of hierarchy - many talented and dedicated employees are overlooked for promotions and instead it is their friends that get promoted, also hire outside people instead of promoting within - experienced more than one direct manager within the company that had no interest in helping me or encouraging me to be a better employee and rather felt threatened by my presence and performance in doing the job - too much office politics - well, its sad to say, but if you're a white male, French, you seem to have a 10x chance of being promoted within a couple of years. The company hires many diversities and women, but they don't seem to be promoted. OLD BOYS CLUB. - company often restructures - its hard to get things done because of all of the departments that need to be involved for small changes - dark office with no natural light

    Pros

Lots of opportunities to grow. They really care for their people. Highly technical environment. Great training platforms and career development tools

    Cons

Processes over complicated, avoiding being efficient. Way too much politics in place sometimes. Work-life balance is not always ideal. Collaboration between teams is not always the best.

    I worked at Schneider Electric

    Pros

    - Friendly and helpful coworkers - Good work/life balance, only had to work overtime once. - Great hardware to work with - Really flexible work hours (ie. 11am to 7pm)

    Cons

Too many mandatory meetings which have nothing to do with your projects and in said meetings, a policy of “No Laptops!” is enforced to make sure people pay attention. Forcing practices onto developers and hindering their progress. Pair programming does not work for everyone and forcing it kills productivity Long mandatory demos at the end of each sprint that nobody watches. Most of the time, even the stakeholders themselves don’t attend them.
