I worked at Sanofi full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very Good Benefits, and good work/life balance overall.

    Cons

Poor management of people and their careers. For an individual's performance, much more weight is given to hearsay of others instead of direct knowledge of individual's work, the individual's team, the individual's direct reports, and their manager. Too much upper management infighting and favoritism of certain workers by management. Unusual number of people that end up leaving after short while. Poor consideration of different working styles. Although some directors are good leaders there are too many that are poor leaders that have been there for too long.

I worked at Sanofi for more than a year

    Pros

    - Many good people to work with - Fast paced, challenging work. Always with something new to learn - Wonderful campus to work at, many available facilities

    Cons

    - Highly political management, many "silos" with lack of inter-department communication or consensus - Management-by-crisis: everybody is constantly pulled from projects to fight fires - Lack of clear direction from upper management to ground-level staff, with high-level messaging ignored in the priorities of the departmental management - Very high turnover rate among contract employees and mid-level management - Lack of clear training system

I have been working at Sanofi for more than a year

    Pros

The office culture is pretty inviting but only in certain sections. Really dependent on team lead/ manager. There are opportunities to move around, departments. Opportunities to demonstrate leadership exist but if you don't do a good job on your first attempt it may be costly.

    Cons

There constant upper management changes and people are always ready to slide the blame over. Integrity and unity are lacking in the company.

I have been working at Sanofi full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

401k Flexible work arrangements Good soft benefits

    Cons

Low yearly salary increases for exceeding individual goals No recognition for absorbing the work of lost head count Negative changes to tuition reimbursement Post jobs internally/externally knowing the candidate has already been identified Lower management lacks skills to empower employees Upper management out of touch with the struggles of the business and only see head count numbers. Falling in Pharma rank Many lower end employees actually take on second jobs to supplement income, which is sad.
