Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Sandvine full-time
Pros
-The people aside from senior management are great. The in office culture, free beer, social events are great too
Cons
-Executive team are a bunch of precious employees of Oracle. Very little ex Sandvine or ex Procera management. Nepotism is strong. No diversity or women in leadership team -shady business dealings with countries like Belarus. Even if claim was not to know what government of Belarus was doing, they should have known better -poor communication from senior leadership to team -no RRSP matching or benefits -cutting costs and budget -no remote work benefits or perks -product roadmap is always changing. Engineering teams don’t know what they are doing. -too many organizational changes -all about profit and no ethics. don’t care about longevity of company or its people -culture is gone. It used to be a great company to work for but that has been lost over the last year and moving to remote work -people getting fired left and right - senior leadership favours their “friends” even if they are not as competent -compensation not as competitive -it is clear HR is posting fake reviews

Pros
VP of HR posts 5 star ratings during first few days.
Cons
There is a growing number of C-level executives now (CEO, COO, CTO, CAO, CRO, CPO, CMO, CSO, ....), and most of them are ex-Danaher or ex-Oracle executives with little to no experience in the deep packet inspection space. There are also many ex-Danaher and ex-Oracle middle managers coming into the company by referrals of the C-levels. Our new CPO -chief product officer- from Oracle seems quite inept so far. He fumbles his presentations, and repeats vague statements over and over, while favoring a cost cutting strategy. One of his first acts after joining the company was to completely shut down a Waterloo R and D team and let India take those tasks over. Other worrying facts: - None of the senior positions are ever posted internally - and they only hire external candidates for these. There is literally no way for an internal candidate to be promoted into these positions. They only post junior/lower-senior positions for internal candidates. This means that everyone in senior leadership now is basically new to the company - that is, they are not from the original Sandvine or Procera, and mostly are Danaher or Oracle executives. - A lot of jobs are moving to India, even back office and IT. I see Indian IT team servicing requests for Sweden now! - Swedish senior engineers are being forced to train Indian counterparts, wonder why?

Pros
Sandvine is a great place if you are a networking nerd. You get to work on awesome networking products, work with awesome people and delivering solutions to awesome internet companies around the world. At Sandvine, you will get an opportunity to utilize your potential to the fullest. I worked here for six years and got to work with an amazing set of people. I learned a lot in the process. Got to meet customers, learned how they use our products, learned from them how networks are run. Good technical stuff. Life is fun at Sandvine. The social committee keeps organizing interesting events round the year: from ice bucket challenge to chicken wing eating contest.
Cons
Some development tools are archaic.

Pros

Cons
- cross team communication silos - senior management distant, no open door policy - a few incompetent managers defending their jobs - low pay for industry, poor system for rewarding top talent and game changers - new ideas and innovation becomes burdened by excess process and middle management - departure of experienced talent at the company is vividly felt but not spoken of
