    Pros

Training, Benefits which were good, staff good, I liked working there.

    Cons

Interaction between departments could be a bit frustrating at times but it was striving to get better. SNC was third party in a building and therefore money for upkeep and maintenance was always an issue.

I worked at SNC-Lavalin (More than a year)

    Pros

Awesome co-workers, good work/life balance, easy work but always busy

    Cons

Corporate doesn't care a whole lot about the lab employees. It was really difficult to get them to listen to us about processes that needed to be improved or difficulties that we were having at the lab. HR and Safety were pretty pompous and incapable of doing their jobs.

    Advice to Management

You've got good employees in the lab. Invest in them because if tests go wrong there the whole project is bust.

I have been working at SNC-Lavalin full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Several gaps = more opportunity to outshine

    Cons

Lots of politics so no opportunity to grow

    Advice to Management

Kindly recognize your talent and do not discriminate against those that are "younger" and not engineers. There are many functional roles where we have people growing into more senior management roles that do not have experience in the particular role and growth opportunities to those that have the potential to excel is not being recognized. Many times it has been noted that comments such as "you're so young" has been made instead of looking at what potential and value the employee can make. It is sad to see that it is no longer credentials that matter but how "old" and how well you can play politics can help you grow in the company.
