    I worked at SNC-Lavalin full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Project design and construction opportunities that are difficult to match elsewhere.
    - For a company of it`s size it has a relatively flat management structure.
    - Not highly averse to risk, as generally seems to be the case with similar private or employee owned companies. That gives rise to some interesting opportunities.
    - Seems to work towards solve it's problems (although some of them have obviously been unavoidable.)

    Cons

    - Used to be very "compartmentalized" (i.e. business units seemed to compete more against each other than collaborate), but that seems to be changing.
    - Petty politics increases as one travels towards Montreal.
    - Like any organization, the immediate management above any given employee will set the tone for that employee's experiences. A "tyrant" manager will not go anywhere if s/he turns a consistent tidy profit for the company, so figure out how to work with that manager, plan an escape strategy, or sit there and take it.
