I have been working at SNC-Lavalin full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    - Can experience many fields (Oil & Gas, Mining, Nuclear, Transportation) if you're willing to transfer between divisions -

    Cons

    - Just like any other EPCM, in a downturn, it's hard to maintain the job regardless of experience - Depends if your boss like you. If so, you'll get good increases. If not, you can try all you want, but still get an average raise

I worked at SNC-Lavalin full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - treated employees like human beings (instead of squeezing you dry which seems to be more the norm in this day and age - systems in place to ensure employees treat each other respectfully, that includes boss-employee relationships - lots of top professionals. Good people to work with. - good compensation

    Cons

    - was marred by Libya scandal, which really has nothing to do with 99% of the people working there (and the company has been working diligently to clean up the mess since), but negatively affected ability to get projects. Especially in mining sector, with the slump in mining industry that really killed the division.
